In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Mermaid by Évariste-Vital Luminais. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,031.41), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Évariste-Vital Luminais have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,351.62) in April 2021 for the work The Bounty Of War.
