In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art, which included the work The Triumph Of Galatea by Eustache Le Sueur. The »bidding war« ended at USD 156,000.00 (€ 120,018.46), 73% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eustache Le Sueur have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory Of Poetry in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 970,000.00 (€ 895,494.83).

Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Triumph Of Galatea von Eustache Le Sueur zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 120.018,46) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eustache Le Sueur auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory Of Poetry im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 970.000,00 (€ 895.494,83).
