Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work THE ENTOMBMENT by Eustache Le Sueur. The price achieved of EUR 81,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eustache Le Sueur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory Of Poetry in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 970,000.00 (€ 895,494.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit THE ENTOMBMENT von Eustache Le Sueur zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 81.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eustache Le Sueur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Allegory Of Poetry im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 970.000,00 (€ 895.494,83).
