Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in New York held the auction European Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work A Young Man in Profile framed 41.0 x 57.0 x 3.0 cm (16 1/8 x 22 3/8 x 1 1/5 in). by Eugène Zak. The »bidding war« ended at USD 70,350.00 (€ 64,493.95), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène Zak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Ondine Et Le Pifferaro, which sold at auction in October 2019 for EUR 200,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion European Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Man in Profile framed 41.0 x 57.0 x 3.0 cm (16 1/8 x 22 3/8 x 1 1/5 in). von Eugène Zak zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 70.350,00 (€ 64.493,95) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugène Zak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Ondine Et Le Pifferaro beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für EUR 200.000,00 versteigert wurde.
