Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sailor by Eugène Zak was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,017.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugène Zak have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Ondine Et Le Pifferaro in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 200,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sailor von Eugène Zak kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.017,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Zak auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Ondine Et Le Pifferaro im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 200.000,00.
