Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work The courting couple by Eugenio Lucas Villaamil. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,740.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugenio Lucas Villaamil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A rainy outing in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 22,325.00 (€ 38,219.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The courting couple von Eugenio Lucas Villaamil zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.740,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugenio Lucas Villaamil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A rainy outing im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.325,00 (€ 38.219,50).
