In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Minas De Real Del Monte, Hidalgo by Eugenio Landesio. The »bidding war« ended at USD 134,500.00 (€ 93,558.71), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eugenio Landesio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paesaggio con Corzo d’Acqua (La Garita de la Viga) in March last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 738,303.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Minas De Real Del Monte, Hidalgo von Eugenio Landesio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 93.558,71) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugenio Landesio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paesaggio con Corzo d’Acqua (La Garita de la Viga) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 738.303,43).
