Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sheep, goat and poultry by a shelter in a landscape by Eugène Joseph Verboeckhoven was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,534.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Joseph Verboeckhoven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leading the flock over the heath in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 156,000.00.

Die Arbeit Sheep, goat and poultry by a shelter in a landscape von Eugène Joseph Verboeckhoven kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.534,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Joseph Verboeckhoven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Leading the flock over the heath im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 156.000,00.
