In November 2016 Artcurial held the auction Orientalist Paintings, which included the work La Caravane by Eugène-François-Adolphe Deshayes. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,850.00 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène-François-Adolphe Deshayes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jardin D'Alger, which sold at auction in February 2015 for EUR 20,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalist Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Caravane von Eugène-François-Adolphe Deshayes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.850,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugène-François-Adolphe Deshayes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jardin D'Alger beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für EUR 20.800,00 versteigert wurde.
