In March last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Monsieur et Madame Robert Schmit, Part II, which included the work La Visite du médecin by Eugène Delacroix. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,300.00 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Delacroix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tigre jouant avec une tortue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 9,875,000.00 (€ 8,461,868.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Monsieur et Madame Robert Schmit, Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Visite du médecin von Eugène Delacroix zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.300,00 und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Delacroix erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tigre jouant avec une tortue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.875.000,00 (€ 8.461.868,04).
