Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Bord de rivière by Pierre Emmanuel Damoye was auctioned at Christies in Paris in January 2006, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 2,400.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Emmanuel Damoye have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prairies Inondées, Pas de Calais in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,764.26).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Bord de rivière von Pierre Emmanuel Damoye im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 800,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 2.400,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Emmanuel Damoye auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prairies Inondées, Pas de Calais im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.764,26).
