Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Un Paysage by Pierre Emmanuel Damoye was sold in the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in January 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,918.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Emmanuel Damoye have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prairies Inondées, Pas de Calais in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,764.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Un Paysage von Pierre Emmanuel Damoye wurde im Januar 2013 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.918,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Emmanuel Damoye auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prairies Inondées, Pas de Calais im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.764,26).
