Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Eugène Brands. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,162.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Brands achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wandelen (Promenade in the Village) in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern, Contemporary & Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Eugène Brands zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.162,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Brands erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wandelen (Promenade in the Village) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
