Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Overspel by Eugène Brands was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2021. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Brands achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wandelen (Promenade in the Village) in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Overspel von Eugène Brands wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Brands erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wandelen (Promenade in the Village) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
