Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans Titre by István (Etienne) Beöthy was sold in the Impressionist/Modern auction at Christies in London in June 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,382.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by István (Etienne) Beöthy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monument pour aviateur, Op. 48 in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,960.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans Titre von István (Etienne) Beöthy wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Impressionist/Modern bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.382,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von István (Etienne) Beöthy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monument pour aviateur, Op. 48 im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.960,50).
