This artwork by Etel Adnan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November this year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 214,200.00 (€ 248,211.22) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Etel Adnan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Etel Adnan erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 214.200,00 (€ 248.211,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Etel Adnan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71).
