Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beating the bounds, Ascension day, University College, Oxford by Estella Canziani was sold in the Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye auction at Christies in London in February 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,134.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Estella Canziani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Master's garden, Pembroke College, Oxford, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,447.39).
