Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Esko Männikkö could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work "Kuivaniemi", 1995 changed hands for SEK 22,000.00 (€ 2,163.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Esko Männikkö have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work (I-Ii) Kuivaniemi (Iii-Iv) Savukoski in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 17,567.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Esko Männikkö konnte im April 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit "Kuivaniemi", 1995 für SEK 22.000,00 (€ 2.163,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Esko Männikkö auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit (I-Ii) Kuivaniemi (Iii-Iv) Savukoski im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 17.567,18).
