It achieved a price of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,540.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erwin Eichinger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A lucky throw, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 4,780.00 (€ 7,155.22).
