Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 728.50 (€ 1,115.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Admittedly, works by Ernest Michael Dinkel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Visit The Empire in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,905.79).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Canton di Switz, half length; and Portrait of Canton di Solure, half length von Ernest Michael Dinkel kam im Januar 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 728,50 (€ 1.115,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Michael Dinkel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Visit The Empire im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.905,79).
