Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Indonesian Art, which included the work Washing by the lake by Ernest Dezentjé. The price achieved of EUR 1,020.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Dezentjé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2007 for SGD 7,800.00 (€ 3,757.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Indonesian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Washing by the lake von Ernest Dezentjé zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.020,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Dezentjé mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2007 für SGD 7.800,00 (€ 3.757,25) versteigert wurde.
