Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Visite À La Plage by Ernest Ange Duez was auctioned at Artcurial in November 2015. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Ange Duez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Mélancolie in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 41,743.56).
