Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Erik Pevernagie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Not on the short list sold for EUR 6,572.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erik Pevernagie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man Without Qualities, which sold at auction in January 2006 for USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,805.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Erik Pevernagie erzielte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Not on the short list für EUR 6.572,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Erik Pevernagie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man Without Qualities beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.805,07) versteigert wurde.
