Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Pappa med barn" by Erik Höglund was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 19,000.00 (€ 1,813.06). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erik Höglund - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Candelabrum, which sold at auction in December 2006 for USD 6,125.00 (€ 4,641.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Pappa med barn" von Erik Höglund im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 19.000,00 (€ 1.813,06) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Erik Höglund mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Candelabrum beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für USD 6.125,00 (€ 4.641,21) versteigert wurde.
