Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "From Marseille" by Eric Hallström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 50,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 40,000.00 (€ 4,352.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Hallström achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Tegelbacken" (Tegelbacken, Stockholm) in October 2013 with an auction result of SEK 1,100,000.00 (€ 127,041.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "From Marseille" von Eric Hallström im April 2016 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 40.000,00 (€ 4.352,77) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Hallström erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Tegelbacken" (Tegelbacken, Stockholm) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.100.000,00 (€ 127.041,34).
