Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White magnolia by Eric Chan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. The price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,285.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Chan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer Blossoms, which sold at auction in April 2007 for SGD 16,800.00 (€ 8,092.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White magnolia von Eric Chan kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.285,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Chan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer Blossoms beobachtet, die im April 2007 für SGD 16.800,00 (€ 8.092,53) versteigert wurde.
