This artwork by Eric Chan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Singapore in April 2007. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Summer Blossoms sold for SGD 16,800.00 (€ 8,092.53) - well above the upper estimate of SGD 9,000.00. This high result makes Summer Blossoms the most expensive artwork by Eric Chan that we have observed at auctions so far.
