Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work Untitled 2 (two chairs) ES06 by Ephrem Solomon. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,824.97). Admittedly, works by Ephrem Solomon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Silence Series, 2017 in March last year with an auction result of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 15,116.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled 2 (two chairs) ES06 von Ephrem Solomon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.824,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ephrem Solomon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Silence Series, 2017 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 15.116,56).
