Conceived in 1971 and cast by Fonderia Tommasi, Italy. This is cast 2 from an edition of 9, plus an artist's cast.
To be sold with a certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist and dated 21 August 1980.

Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait Of Annigoni by Enzo Plazzotta was auctioned at Christies in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,621.83). Admittedly, works by Enzo Plazzotta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Downfall in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,347.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait Of Annigoni von Enzo Plazzotta im Juni 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.621,83) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enzo Plazzotta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Downfall im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.347,91).
