In November 2010 Christies in Milan held the auction Contemporary and Modern Art, which included the work Composizione aeropittorica by Enzo Benedetto. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,800.00 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Enzo Benedetto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Esplosione della primavera, which sold at auction in May 2000 for ITL 23,500,000.00 (€ 20,154.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composizione aeropittorica von Enzo Benedetto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.800,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Enzo Benedetto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Esplosione della primavera beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für ITL 23.500.000,00 (€ 20.154,37) versteigert wurde.
