Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Enrico Donati was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 75,600.00 (€ 89,632.31). Admittedly, works by Enrico Donati have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spaziale fiorito in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 867,000.00 (€ 768,140.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Enrico Donati im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 75.600,00 (€ 89.632,31) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enrico Donati auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spaziale fiorito im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 867.000,00 (€ 768.140,34).
