Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,279.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Enoch Wood Perry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cradle Song, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,817.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Carving A Jack O'Lantern von Enoch Wood Perry kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.279,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Enoch Wood Perry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cradle Song beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.817,65) versteigert wurde.
