Admittedly, works by Engel Hoogerheyden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch shipping in light breezes off Vlissingen in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 24,675.00 (€ 39,923.50).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.962,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Engel Hoogerheyden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch shipping in light breezes off Vlissingen im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.675,00 (€ 39.923,50).
