In June 2017 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work A Red, Red Rose by Emmy Bridgwater. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,829.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Emmy Bridgwater have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2020 the work A Red, Red Rose was auctioned for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,586.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Red, Red Rose von Emmy Bridgwater zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.829,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Emmy Bridgwater konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2020 die Arbeit A Red, Red Rose für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.586,30) versteigert.
