Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Cultural Enhancement by Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,399.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nigeria Cultural Heritage in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 18,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cultural Enhancement von Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.399,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nigeria Cultural Heritage im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.850,00.
