The work Humility For All, 2009 by Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey was sold in the African Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,886.00 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nigeria Cultural Heritage in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 18,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Humility For All, 2009 von Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion African Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.886,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emmanuel Ekong Ekefrey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nigeria Cultural Heritage im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.850,00.
