It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,194.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emmanuel de la Villéon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Les foins dans le champ du parc sold at auction in December 2006 with the realized price of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,590.45).
