In April 2012 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work The Sedan Chair by Emma Ciardi. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,338.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emma Ciardi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grand Fête On The Grand Canal in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 76,165.24).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sedan Chair von Emma Ciardi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.338,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emma Ciardi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Grand Fête On The Grand Canal im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 76.165,24).
