Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work (Misurina) by Emilio Vedova was auctioned at Christies in Milan in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Vedova achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ciclo 61/62 N.2 in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 776,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit (Misurina) von Emilio Vedova im November 2021 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 50.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Vedova erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ciclo 61/62 N.2 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 776.750,00.
