Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Venus by Émile Meyer. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,970.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Émile Meyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The riding school in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,146.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus von Émile Meyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.970,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Meyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The riding school im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.146,00).
