Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work French judith by Émile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,625.00 (€ 31,225.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Émile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Janissaire du Sultan Mahmoud II and Jeune fille du Caire in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 156,000.00 (€ 231,496.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French judith von Émile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 31.225,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Coriolan Hippolyte Guillemin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Janissaire du Sultan Mahmoud II and Jeune fille du Caire im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 156.000,00 (€ 231.496,15).
