A top price for Emil Volkers - as previously expected
In December 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Sporting Art, which included the work A Saddled Bay Hunter in a Stable with a Dog by Emil Volkers. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,600.00 (€ 13,173.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Saddled Bay Hunter in a Stable with a Dog is the most expensive artwork by Emil Volkers that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Sporting Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Saddled Bay Hunter in a Stable with a Dog von Emil Volkers zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 13.173,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist A Saddled Bay Hunter in a Stable with a Dog das teuerste Kunstwerk von Emil Volkers, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
