Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work The Merry Maid by Emil Rau. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 623.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Rau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Inside A Bavarian Tavern in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,422.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Merry Maid von Emil Rau zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 623,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Rau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Inside A Bavarian Tavern im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.422,61).
