Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Outbound (Boats in Los Angeles Harbor) by Emil Jean Kosa, Jr.. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,457.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Emil Jean Kosa, Jr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Art Opening in August last year with an auction result of USD 30,600.00 (€ 30,402.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Outbound (Boats in Los Angeles Harbor) von Emil Jean Kosa, Jr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.457,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emil Jean Kosa, Jr. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Art Opening im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.600,00 (€ 30.402,38).
