Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Emil Jean Kosa, Jr. could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Carmel Seascape 26 x 30 in. framed 33 x 37 in. changed hands for USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,877.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Jean Kosa, Jr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Art Opening in August last year with an auction result of USD 30,600.00 (€ 30,402.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emil Jean Kosa, Jr. konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Carmel Seascape 26 x 30 in. framed 33 x 37 in. für USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.877,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Jean Kosa, Jr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Art Opening im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.600,00 (€ 30.402,38).
