Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 962.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elsie Palmer Payne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Farmer'S Market, No. 1 in August 2019 with an auction result of USD 4,825.00 (€ 4,390.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A View of Old Chinatown von Elsie Palmer Payne kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 962,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
