Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Elsa Thoresen was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 36,000.00 (€ 3,511.65). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elsa Thoresen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of SEK 1,450,000.00 (€ 138,365.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Elsa Thoresen im November 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 36.000,00 (€ 3.511,65) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elsa Thoresen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.450.000,00 (€ 138.365,48).
