Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work Museum Interior; Still Life With A Candle by Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,485.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work April in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 142,400.00 (€ 211,339.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Museum Interior; Still Life With A Candle von Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.485,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit April im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 142.400,00 (€ 211.339,43).
