Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fanciulla con mastello by Eliseo Sala was auctioned at Il Ponte in April 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 700.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 600.00. Admittedly, works by Eliseo Sala have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Benvenuto Cellini che rivede il suo manoscritto in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 2,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Fanciulla con mastello von Eliseo Sala im April 2015 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 600,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eliseo Sala auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Benvenuto Cellini che rivede il suo manoscritto im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.500,00.
