Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work A young woman in a costume from the Hedebo region reading the Bible by Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann for DKK 45,000.00 (€ 6,036.88). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings and drawings at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A mermaid, which sold at auction in June this year for DKK 140,000.00 (€ 18,794.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A young woman in a costume from the Hedebo region reading the Bible von Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann für DKK 45.000,00 (€ 6.036,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings and drawings bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Elisabeth Jerichau Baumann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A mermaid beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für DKK 140.000,00 (€ 18.794,87) versteigert wurde.
